They should not do anything unless GNOME is actually talking through them (e. g. palimpsest, the "disk utility in the menu; or you plug in an USB drive). Can you please do
sudo /usr/lib/udisks/udisks-daemon --replace it should settle after some 2 seconds. Doesn't it for you? Do you get any permanent output?
