got the same problem on Gigabyte 965P-S3 , i don't see option to turn off JMicron so i can't do anything. i managed to install 6.06 from USB, then upgrade it to 6.10, but upgrading to alpha 5 with kernel 2.6.20 just breaks it and i need 2.6.20 as my network card support is there. so i can't use ubuntu. but hey - debian works ok. and they are said to be so slow in updates, go figure.
