Public bug reported: I am not sure how precisely can I describe it; although it surely looks important.
I mount my fat32 partition as (from /etc/fstab) # /dev/hda3 UUID=4449-3C88 /media/hda3 vfat defaults,utf8,umask=007,gid=46 0 1 I have a link (ln -s) to a subdirectory in this partition where I tried downloading some bittorrent using Deluge. I downloaded parts of some file. On reboot, some download started from 0%. To preclude a possible nature of Deluge or a bittorrent client behavior possibility, next time I made another directory there and copied some downloaded files. On another reboot; subdirectories are lost. and there are numerous fsck###.rec files generated in that directory, which I do not know how to use to recover etc. Coming to think of it, Its not related to bittorrent. I had lost more data on my vfat partition when written from Ubuntu. I had not problem so far doing it from my FedoraCore system writing in that partition. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Description changed: - I am not sure how precise can I describe it; although it surely looks + I am not sure how precisely can I describe it; although it surely looks important.
