Public bug reported:

Hi,

Not quite sure this is the right place to post something like this.

I wanted to update 9.04 to 9.10 and did with the upgrade option in the
update manager. It ran an error when trying to install ghostscript. No
quite sure anymore. 9.10 booted until just after login, then it just
halted!

Today I reinstalled 9.04. downloaded 9.10 from Belgium mirror. Burned it
with CDburningtool. Tried to install, again error in copying files.
Ended up reinstalling 9.04 again. This cycle continues a couple of time.
US mirror, German, Netherlands. If I only just ran the md5sum. Would of
saved me a bunch of cd's!

Downloaded from Belgium server again, did the md5sum
(8790491bfa9d00f283ed9dd2d77b3906) and it matches with the UbuntuHashes.
So I burn iso file to cd. run the following command: /media/cdrom$
md5sum -c md5sum.txt | grep -v "ok$" and it gives an error:
./casper/filesystem.squashfs: FAILED

Is it something that is wrong in general or just my pc?

cheers
