@William, that seems to be a different error, but I'm not competent enough to say for sure. In my case the issue was actually with i915 not loading properly. It turns out that i810 is actually deprecated, with a working system I still get the i810 warning but everything is working fine. What hardware are you running? It would be helpful if you could add bug report documentation using apport, that way the knowledgeable people can really help you.
