Yes, I read it. I like the fact that my mixers are all merged into one big mixer. But the result is that the one big mixer has an extremely large dynamic range, larger than what it practically usable.
It is also possible that the dB values reported by the hardware driver (Intel HDA) are not accurate. Especially if the bottom of the Master volume slider, reported as -48 dB, is actually silent.
