Hi I also have a Dell 1557 with 64-bit karmic 9.10 installed (it just arrived today and I just finished installing Ubuntu) but in addition to the volume key bug I'm also not able to hear any sound from my computer. Is this related to this bug or is it whole different problem? I'm guessing it's the latter.
