No special chars. Here is an example (one of the DVDs that don't work as video DVDs or in a DVD player) :
/media/cdrom/VIDEO_TS: VIDEO_TS.BUP VIDEO_TS.VOB VTS_01_0.IFO VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_3.VOB VIDEO_TS.IFO VTS_01_0.BUP VTS_01_0.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB VTS_01_4.VOB I got the VIDEO_TS folder wth thoses files, I created a data CD with Brasero, put the folder at DVD root, choosed a name (e.g. "GHOSTS") ans burnt it. Got an unusable DVD that as a name with blank spaces after "GHOSTS" for its name, up to 16 chars. Also, I forgot to add some info: first, I created an ISO file from Brasero by burning to its virtual burner (i.e. no disc in my hardware burner so that Brasero would write an ISO). When burning the ISO, I got the problem I described above. Then I tried to burn the folder/files directly and it didn't work any better. But if I mount the ISO as /mnt and open /mnt as a DVD device in VLC, it works as expected (DVD video readable with navigation that works). I guesse the problem resides in the ISO label / volume info set by Brasero or is somewhat related to it. -- Brasero burns unreadable video DVDs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/515453 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
