Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Ubuntu release: 9.10 Package version: 1.1.2-1ubuntu7 Expected behavior: Set two finger scrolling in mouse properties would work What happened instead: Two finger scrolling only works with edge scrolling This bug is the same than bugs #422224 and #476866 but on different hardware. The touchpad is definitely multi-touch capable as windows 7 behavior shows. The workarounds in the related bugs are multi-touch emulation and therefore not acceptable. This affects many different computers and seems to indicate that a fundamental bug in the driver impacts on all of us. Thanks if you show some interest for this issue.
