Chris,

I'd better your test with 2.6.32. Just download your appropiate .deb's
from that web, and double click on the .deb files. gDebi will install
your kernel, and will take care of dependencies.

After your installation, a  (two, really) new GRUB option will appear,
and you -hopefully- can start with 2.6.32.

Run your tests, and after that, you can re-start with any  2.6.31-xx
kernel, go to Synaptic, search for 2.6.32 and remove it.
