** Description changed: Binary package hint: grub2 On Ubuntu Karmic, I recently tried configuring Grub2 with splash images. Following the directions on the community documentation, I applied the image successfully. However, the text colors where black with highlighted OS being magenta. I checked the /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme file and found the color settings as follows: set menu_color_normal=white/black set menu_color_highlight=black/white + Running grub without splash image renders text colors correctly. + ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 CheckboxSubmission: 29102e0a5c695caa811ca170fcbefaab CheckboxSystem: bb422ca46d02494cdbc459927a98bc2f Date: Fri Feb 5 18:56:14 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: grub2 1.97~beta4-1ubuntu4.1 ProcEnviron: - LANG=en_US.UTF-8 - SHELL=/bin/bash + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: grub2 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic i686
