When I first tried to re-update by 'check'ing again, update-manager crashed lp517464. Next time I re-ran update-manager it told me there were problems with the packages and offered to perform a partial distribution upgrade (3 packages removed, 6 new packages installed, 15 upgraded). I'll report back how that worked out.
