Binary package hint: compiz
I have a nVidia twin-view setup with 2 screens, 1900x1200 and 1680x1050.
I would like to use 12 horizontal virtual desktops. This is currently
not possible.
I have dug a bit into the code (compiz and Xorg), and it seems the
underlying issue is that the X-server does not support window positions
outside [-32768;32768], because it uses the "short" variable type. The
setup I would like would require a desktop size of 43200x1200 pixels,
and as such fails in funny ways (windows suddenly changing positions,
etc.).
