I downloaded the fedora LiveCD and it booted. During boot I got some I/O Buffer errors, see attachment, (on device sr0, don't know what that is on fedora), but that could have been the scratches on my CD ;) Once in Gnome, I could mount my SATA and IDE drive without a problem.
