The bug description should be renamed or a new bug report should be created for v0.8.3.1. The bug is still reproducible on 0.8.3.1. I figured that by disabling all plugins and a few docklets, the frequency of crashing is significantly reduced. Hence, there may be somehting not running correctly on some plugin which causes gnome do to crash / memeory leak....
