I have this issue too. When I'm starting javascript console in firebug, firefox crashes.
I tried running from console to check for any error message. There it is: (firefox:11366): GLib-WARNING **: g_set_prgname() called multiple times Segmentation fault Warning shows up on firefox start, and fault when firefox crashes.
