Hello,
This is a _serious_ systematic, non-function "bug".

_serious_ because today a computer without the possibility to connect to
the Internet is just unacceptable!
(In Sweden, Mobile Broadband is a very common first-hand Interconnection
service. It is acceptably fast, 7.2 Mbit/s, for streaming TV. It is one
of the cheapest Internet connection types. It surprises me extremely
that Ubuntu 9.10 is released with this flaw when Ubuntu 9.04 worked
perfectly!)

systematic because it happens 100% of the times when a connection is
established

non-function means that the entire networking service is impossible.
