Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 9.10
apt-cache policy linux:
Candidate: 2.6.31.17.30
Version Table:
2.6.31.17.30 0
2.6.31.16.29 0

Hardware: laptop MSI A6005

After a few minutes of uptime both screen and keyboard freeze (and probably
everything else).
- This is happening both in kubuntu (KDE) and ubuntu (gnome).
- This is happening in command line mode, after I logged in by pressing
CTRL-ALT-F2
- no particular user action triggers it

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
