@Drew Unfortunately, this is the way NM works. If it fails to make a connection to a secure AP, it assumes that the key was bad, and forces the user to re-enter the key. From your description, I'm not sure that happened...
So a few questions: 1. Were you prompted for the key again after the connection failed? 2. Is your AP hidden? The fact that appears in the main menu ( you said you double-clicked it ), makes me think not. 3. The issue you describe in (2), not being able to connect via "Connect to Hidden..." is a known issue and has been fixed in Lucid. 3. Last of all... please note that you're using a proprietary driver for your Broadcom Wi-Fi card, and it's know to have problems. Since it's proprietary, these bugs can only be fixed by Broadcom... ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- WEP key sometimes forgotten by NetworkManager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504543 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
