I did:
 sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so 
mozilla-javaplugin.so /usr/lib64/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/lib/amd64/libnpjp2.so 50

And restarted my browser.

rv:1.9.2.1pre) Gecko/20100125 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Namoroka/3.6.1pre

And I agree, should not be necessary, but the solution came fast, so for
me this only caused me to use Chromium version: 4.0.306.0 (36982) Ubuntu
for my java necessities.
