honery801: would you mind providing a few extra things then when this
happens?
start out by running the backend in another Terminal:
$ sudo /usr/share/mythbuntu/mcc-backend --debug
Then open up mcc in another Terminal
$ mythbuntu-control-centre
Please provide the output of both when this failure happens. I'm still
unable to reproduce it on my end unfortunately.
