This issue is also affecting me. The Zeroconf Service Discovery panel applet also shows no printers when "browse services on this machine" is selected in the applet's advanced preferences.
I'm posting only to include another issue and wondering if it's related or separate: I can view my cups web interface from the server web browser via: http://localhost:631 http://192.168.0.10:631 but not http://myserver.local:631 even though a "ping myserver.local" returns hits from 192.168.0.10. When I try http://myserver.local:631, I get "400 Bad Request".
