With latest updates and so forth, switching user is not an issue, suspend/sleep (low power mode with RAM still powered) has no problems. I believe that hibernate is ok for me. I will, when next the laptop is free (the lady is powering through course work), try to work out exactly how to course this problem, if that problem dose still happen for me.
If I can't repeat this problem, I think you (Dovel) and I should try to work out what hardware differences we may have. It's probably just a freak line up of hardware that causes this problem.
