mmh, not overly happy to have this bug "hijacked" to be only about Lenovo after 6 months (granted that the initial report is about a Lenovo though :-) ). I have filed bug 509508 for my MacBook4,1 which has exactly the same issue still. I do think that these 2 bugs are closely related though.
