Hi Brian,
            first, Thank You for your understanding response to my e mail. I 
followed your instructions, and it must have worked,
because I got 16 e mails from Launchpad!!!
      I had decided to "go for it" and installed Kaffeine and the DVB 
driver, then went through the terminal as you said. I then decided
to go the whole hog and restarted the computer. It did!!! I then started 
Kaffeine and it loaded the TV channels OK. But then
it reported that it could not find demultiplexer plugin. I see on the net 
that there are a few reports about this ~ so I'll wait patiently.
You guys are doing a Fantastic job with Ubuntu, really Impressive. I'm 
looking forward to using Ubuntu full time ~ the sound is better than on XP.
For one thing. Good on Yer.
