Binary package hint: libasound2
Try to run the following:
- Nexuiz
- Doom 3 in alsa mode
- other stuff I forgot..
All I can hear is pops and cracks in the sound. Unbearable.. Well, I did
the following:
- changed /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf, defaults.pcm.dmix_rate from 48000
to 44100
and the sound is fine now.
My soundcard is an Intel HDA (Sigmatel STAC9200). Well, I'm not sure why
it happens with some apps and not with others but there seems to
definitely be a problem with alsa's dmix.
