Public bug reported: In our university's library we have a scanner where we can scan pages from books and take them home with us as PDFs. Up to Intrepid (didn't test Jaunty) the rendering of the scanned images was fine, the text very readable. Starting with Karmic the documents looked as if antialiasing or something like that was missing - both in evince and in Xournal. XPDF renders the documents just fine as can be seen in the attached screenshot-omparison (left: poppler, right: xpdf). ** Affects: poppler Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: poppler (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Bad rendering of scanned pdfs in applications using poppler https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509267 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
