Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
I'm running a laptop w/ a monitor attached. The default seems to be to mirror the screens, which doesn't make sense in itself (why would I want two screens with the same thing?) But if I change the settings they reset after every reboot. So, after rebooting, the mirror screens box isn't checked, but the screens are mirrored. The only way to fix it is to turn the monitor off and turn it back on (in the gnome-display-properties.) Just right now I mirrored the screens and then un-mirrored them, but they don't un-mirror. Again, disabling then re-enabling the external monitor is the only way to set them up right.
