Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center
Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala apt is unable to locate gnome-display-properties for some reason (found in /usr/bin, runs via System -> Administration -> Display), and Synaptic does not show a package by that name. When enabling an external monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 151s) on an IBM ThinkPad X41 (docked on X4 UltraBase), then dragging it to the opposite side of the Laptop screen and clicking "Apply", the mouse cursor appears on one screen, but the system behaves as though it is on the other, i.e. mouse movement (buttons are highlighted), and mouse clicks are registered as though the cursor is in the same coordinate on the opposite monitor.
