Hi, @babbamaic: I've tried 1.24 and yes, the fan stays up and running on unsupportable levels. Fan control is not working: I only get sensor readings but no way of controlling the fan.
I needed the update to get the DVD drive working, and am pissed: what tradeoff is that? The suspend doesn't work for me either, but it does under win xp (downgraded from vista) If anybody comes across a solution for the fan problem: let me know!
