Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

Apologies I am new to this.

The first time the system crashed was when trying to open Scribus

The next time I was minimizing Firefox when the system froze

I spotted these tow warnings but I am not sure if they help.
-desktop gdm-binary[1317]: WARNING: Unable to load file '/etc/gdm/custom.conf':
No such file or directory
-desktop gdm-binary[1317]: WARNING: Unable to find users: no seat-id found
