Try to install the newer alsa-driver from http://www.realtek.com.tw (Downloads -> High Definition Audio Codecs (Software) -> Accept and Next -> the linux driver is at the bottom of the page).
You'll also need some packages to compile the drivers: sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic libncurses5-dev Then, like said in the Readme.txt, do the manual install: unpack the driver and lib tarball (I couln't get the utils to compile) and run: ./configure make sudo make install in both directories. Worked for me, I hope it'll for you. -- MSI X-Slim 340 - Front Mic not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/425088 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
