Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
My aspire 5738z works perfectly under ibex
I reported bug 437298 that was never fixed
Eventually I was able to boot ibex in using i915.modeset=0 in grub
After boot mouse pointer is not visible but because pointer event can clean
this problem
Every try to watch video or use the video test in the system hardware test
crash xserver
