The only way I know how to do it is by disabling pulseaudio. edit /etc/pulse/client.conf
change ; autospawn = yes to autospawn = no In terminal: killall pulseaudio asoundconf set-default-card NAME-OF-USB-HEADSET I'm not sure that will work for you but works for me with a pc-card soundcard. All programs devices are recognized properly. -- alsa-utils missing asoundconf https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376024 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
