GParted version 0.5.0 adds support for Linux Software RAID. >From the screen shot in post #2, this appears to be a different problem that has cropped up with newer versions of parted (and the libparted library). Specifically when these newer versions of libparted are used with GParted, you are no longer able to edit partitions on a disk device that has at least one partition mounted.
