This afternoon i tried to update my u90 bios with the 10G version (following the steps listed at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /hal-info/+bug/415023/comments/265) and both brightness (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hal-info/+bug/415023) and webcam bugs seem to be fixed.
