Public bug reported: I have Ubuntu 9.10 X86_64, my keyboard (Cherry CyberPro G-224) has some dedicated keys to start programs: - Media player (audacious) - E-Mail Client (evolution) - Web Browser (firefox) - Calculator (gcalctool)
plus others for - Volume + - Volume - - Volume mute - Power off In the last 15 days (I can't say exactly when) the keys have stopped to work. All keys except the mediakey started to auto-repeat after first press. Auto-repeat stops only, when the 'media' key is pressed. When key repeats are disabled in the user prefs, then any input from one of the media-keys on the keyboard causes a global lockup. You can't enter anything anymore. Pressing the 'media' key causes to key to be recognized and executed (e.g. mute toggle) once. Now keyboard input is possible again. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Input from USB Cherry G-224 keyboard is autorepeated, lock-up of global keyboard input possible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504934 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
