Public bug reported: Binary package hint: cryptsetup
A final ubuntu 9.10 cd was checked to ensure that it had no errors (according the the option when you first boot up the live cd). Upon trying to enter into the live desktop environment, the cd failed. The system in question has at least 3 GB of ram, and is a 3-4 yr old Dell Desktop. Here are the results of the first four boots. I asked the user, my father (who wants to convert to linux) to repeat this ten times, so I could file a bug. The 5th-10th times also failed, but the user's notes were accidently deleted. Nevertheless, what it appears to be is that you have a computer that clearly meets the requirements to boot ubuntu, but cannot. The system also has no raid partitions and no encrpyted drives. The user simply wants to move away from a windows xp setup. First boot it hung up with these lines Starting early crypto disks..... Starting remaining crypto disks.....
