KrazyPenguin, it is known bug and there are several notes about this: a) This driver is enabled optionally (Restricted drivers require confirmation from user to install them); b) PulseAudio team already admitted that it is their fault. Blocking ALSA subdevice with slmodemd shouldn't block main subdevice for playback or/and recording.
