Yesterday I researched over the config of xorg and the s3virge driver for this card is fine. The problem is when kubuntu sets the resolution/refresh to the max by default (1280x1024/75 Hz/24 bits I think). It is strange, I installed in text mode the first time and it didn't give me the option to select possible resolutions on xorg (the video cable was disconnected while installing), finally obtaining this bad config, but the second time xorg ASKED me for resolutions, with 1024x768, 800x600 and 640x480 selected (I don't know for sure if this time the video cable was connected). I will test Edgy in live mode to see. I'll test Feisty-Fawn when possible.
