@LGB and tankdriver: I've noticed both these problems, but kernel 2.6.32
fixes them for me. The easiest way to try it is to get the header and
image deb files (32 or 64 bit as appropriate) from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32.2/ and install
them with "sudo dpkg -i".
