Eddie Hung: Your'e right. I fixed the resuspending issue by setting /apps/gnome-power-manager/actions/critical_battery to value "nothing". But I still have the original problem.
It seems in my case the problem is caused when the battery level is *not* critical, but goes critical during suspend which causes the computer to wake after precisely 10 seconds (yes, I timed it). (This can regularly occur if you leave your computer in suspend for a long time or suspend it when battery power is low but not critical.)
