Public bug reported: If you run a command in konsole that doesn't end in a newline then konsole's repainting makes incorrect assumptions about what's on the screen, resulting in garbage text. Hitting enter once after such a command solves the problem.
Interrupting a command while it's printing, before it writes a complete line, also causes this behavior.
