Anyone have any updates to this problem?  As my system stands now, I can
make /dev/ttyUSB0 appear by plugging in my Arduino (well, it's a
Seeduino, but it still uses the FTDI chip).  If I then unplug it, the
system log shows the disconnect, but the /dev/ttyUSB0 device is still
there.  Any attempt to actually *do* anything with the device will just
hang.
