Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have been playing around with OLSR and got it running at a basic
level, but it is not at all easy.

As all the packages required for wifi mesh networking are in the
repository, should an effort be made to add gui support to allow users
to take advantage of it?

to my limited understanding it, not all wifi drivers / hardware will
support it, in which case it could be greyed out.

Also, there are a number of olsr plugins which could be used to generate
graphics, like number & strength of nodes, a traffic diagram & monitor.

I think this could be a "killer app" if it was up and running in a
reasonable state by Lucid.

The commercial os mesh routers have arived, ubuntu will do well if it
can step up to the bat on this.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
