..Still to Axel's point, this is a pretty lame bug to persist across 3 releases. And the fix is effortless from the content providers standpoint. It doesnt make sense to have the ownership on the end user to correct this. If the package is faulty and it's not going to be maintained then just remove it from the repo.
I shouldnt have had to google for this fix. A novice user would never correct this on their own. It's a poor user experience and the minor attention that would be required to maintain this is justified.
