The problem seems to be that users have no initiative to install 'dictd' when they're on-line and can't download it when they're off-line, simply because they can't download it when they need it.
I propose asking the user whether he wants to download dictd when he opens the gnome-dictionary for the first time when connected. The dialogue should be short and concise and the download should not interfere with the user's work. ** Attachment added: "A mock-up for the gnome-dictionary" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37279784/dictionary-options.png -- Gnome Dictionary should work offline https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/19227 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
