Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
System Monitor applet provides invalid information when moving a mouse pointer to its charts on GNOME Panel. Steps to reproduce: 1) add System Monitor applet to one of GNOME panels and set network chart to be shown 2) start to download sth from internet, taking care of nearly constant rate (like about 100 KB/s all the time) 3) move mouse over the network chart Result: download information drastically decrease although transfer rate doesn't change Expected result: download information is not affected by moving a mouse pointer I attached a screenshot showing this issue - all drops in the middle chart come from moving mouse over this chart, not from actual download rate drop.
