ceboleon, thank you for your report. It seems that your
launchpad_handbrake.list file is corrupted. Please remove this source from
System->Admininstration->Software Sources, "Other Software" tab. Then run
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
and you should be ok. You can re-add the HandBrake PPA afterward.
