Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: usb-creator

The format button is always visible and only sometimes results in a working
situation.
There should be a partition button when a device is found without partitions,
this button should only be enabled when the entire USB device is selected (like
/dev/sdb).
The format button should only be enabled when a partition is selected (like
/dev/sdb1).

Currently when I click the format button, a FAT32 parition is created
and formated, but the app will report that there's not enough space.
Usually I don't even get too see the freshly created partition before
restarting the app or reconnect the USB device.

Just out of curiosity, how does the app partition/format with root
permissions?
